Re: Fishing Gray's Point

Only luck I've had at Grays Point was with Cat Food (pilchards in a can with holes punched around the ends) berley strung under the kayak and fresh prawns (Yes I'm gunna say it BAIT FISHING!!!!!) accounted for some nice flatties, flounder and whiting. It does seem that we have to travel further and ...

Re: Has anyone tried nutserts to attach things

X2 on the wellnuts. They are a sealed rubber insert from the outside of the hull. The mount you are looking at would still need a stainless steel washer put in from the inside of the hull to avoid pulling it straight through the hull. The other issue I see with nutserts is that they are not waterpro...

Change of address and carrer. Living out west and painting houses with my woman. Hope to get out again but currently working 8 days a week. Wouldn't a spray gun / roller / brush be easier? I got some of that sellys glue and it worked on a couple of placcy things I needed to repair, not sure exactly...

Re: Something smells fishy,

Once you have located the source of the spill, clean it up as best you can and then get one of those ENZYME style cleaners in spray bottle. I use Oomph. It does not mask the smell, the enzymes kill the bacteria that causes the smell. All you cat lovers out there will appreciate that this stuff gets ...

Re: Adaptors for scotty fittings

Might have too invest in a surface scotty mount just for the flag. Do not try and modify the mounts. It will only end in tears and "why didn't I ..... " scenarios

Re: Rod to pair with Stradic ci4+ 3000

I have a CI4 4000 and paired with a Shimano Sahara 3-5kg rod. Brilliant for casting a 1/2oz blade all day. Well balanced and a good back bone. Mind you if you get a very solid Kingfish it will be hard to stop with structure around. This is still my favourite combo and landed my 1m Jewfish without a ...

Bugger Snow!
You might have to come to the dark side and pedal.
You reckon you could glass up a mirage drive slot in the stealth? :?:
Mmmm might be onto something there!

Re: Found Mackie :-) Hooked Mackie :-) - Dropped Mackie :-(

Awesome experience whether you landed him or not.
You had him on the hook and that's what matters.
At the end of the day it sounds like you had a blast and will keep doing it.
Looking forward to the pics and video of you holding that big Mackie with a smile from ear to ear!
