Hobie Mirage drive 2012 version *SOLD*

Hello all,

Due to recent theft I now have only the pedal drive (without the Outback :(( ).

Is there any interest in this (around 5 yrs old in excellent condition)?

Can't see any for sale anywhere so no idea what it's worth at this stage.

Thx, John

Re: Another one gone :-)

Agree, and now I have a "spare" V1 drive. Would it be worth anything much? Maybe the thieves would like to buy it from me ?? :?:

Re: Another one gone :-)

Thanks Pat for your thoughts. Nothing special observed. Smacks of well planned organised theft. Moonless and windy, noisy night. Chain and padlock gone. Would have needed 2 men to carry along shoreline to access road nearby (no lighting). I have little hope of getting it back but the whole incident ...

Re: Another one gone :-)

Thx Roberta, I have all the details and appreciate your input. Never thought to let Hobie know. Good idea. One of the things i will miss most is Bill Pain's bespoke sail. He lives at Coomba Park and makes wonderful customs furlable sails. One of the pics on Bills website is of my kayak with sail. Lu...

Re: Surface lures, first Whiting.

There were large schools of them last Wed at change of tide along the training walls near Urunga Island in Kalang River. I tethered the yak to a little sandy area and walked along the wall (just covered with water) and cast with small surface lure across them but no luck. Very frustrating to seen la...

Re: Paddle, Pedal, Power Debate

I am lucky enough to have all three, having purchased an excellent second hand Evolve electric motor which i leave permanently attached to the rudder. Being on the river at Mylestom, tides and wind are a ruling factor and i now find i can confidently pedal much further against the current or have a ...

Re: Jet Skis

I dread the ones who arrive on a quiet (formerly) stretch of the river with a trailer custom built with 'his' and 'hers' latest macho models ready to blast apart the peace. We recently had a very powerful one which was almost sideways creating a huge wash towards the river bank.
