Re: 12 months North QLD Kayak Fishing

Great video NorthSIKer... I really need to start spending some more time fishing rather than paddling the surf ski constantly

Re: Welcome to Townsville Kayak Fishing Club

Mate I'll give anything a go, hopefully where I won't get eaten by a croc haha. Wouldn't mind starting small then moving up mate. Did see in the rules I need a PFD so will get that sorted next few days. To be honest there are a few crocs getting around at the moment die to breeding season... rain f...

Hi Tracti,
Welcome to the group. What is your poison? Creek/river/estuary/offshore? Hope to catch up on the water soon!

Cheers

Re: This Sunday

And Spanky tells me that the fish don't bite when it's a Northerly wind! Pffft! On that advice, I chose the Eggs Benedict at Picnic Bay on Saturday instead. Sure, the Eggs Benny are nice, but not as nice as fresh fish!! IIRC... you pulled out on Sunday because the conditions on Saturday were crap! ...

Re: The croc is back at Pallarenda

I'm already locked in for a morning exploration of the flats on the rising tide on Sunday morning. Launch at dusk back by lunch. Night fishing??? Sunday sesh would be good I reckon. If you can paddle Sunday Omer, I'll join you. Depends on if there's an open house or not... you can always join...

Re: The croc is back at Pallarenda

One thing about the croc / dugong thing - did anyone notice that the mystery croc was being reported just about every week leading up to that statement, and then after the statement - zilch - until this genuine photo anyway. Yeah it's funny how mass hysteria with crocs at Pallarenda just stopped li...

Re: Sikaflex 291i vs selley for FF instalation on Evo ski

I've used sika 291i on 4 boats now and they are all still going strong... no drama's with air bubbles or the transducer getting loose. Clean the outside of the transducer with some metho and paper towel before you stick it in the sika... Mines been in the 575 for over a year and the reading is still...

Re: Middle reef early Saturday morning

Hmmm - this be the time of year where we do expect them to be out and about, moving between creeks. Sure is... I think with Wally hanging around so much during the cooler months it threw out my 'croc clock' lol I'm going over to Picnic bay on Sunday with a group... probably makes sense to paddle at...

The croc is back at Pallarenda

The Townsville Bulletin posted up a photo yesterday of a approx 3.5m saltwater crocodile swimming off the beach... not sure if it's "wally" or not... be careful if you are around that area.

It looks like a normal foam mount... probably used as a wet mount.
