Re: Midcoast Social Outing - Feb 17 - Valentine - Reports

Sorry fella's for not getting on the water yesterday, picked up some sort of stomach bug. :grr: I was all packed & ready but was feeling very ordinary when I got up @ 5 A.M. After trying a remedy to settle my stomach I managed to at least drive down to the launch spot & catch up with Rocky. Unfortun...

Re: Foster in March

Hello Mal, Yes, we have had a look @ Secura, Stayed there when I last attended a Hobie Bream round. You are right, the sites & amenities are good but we wanted a place where we can do a similar gathering to what we do @ Lake St Clair. Lani's is closer to the oyster racks & other excellent fishing ar...

Finally received our Certificate of Appreciation for BCF Bennetts Green & managed to get to the store today & present it to the manager, Chris. Re: Midcoast Social Outing - Jan 13 - Dora Creek

As usual, I was the last to arrive, met Tom for the 1st time, welcome mate. Got on the water about 6.30 & headed upstream along the Northern bank. Had a couple of hits but no hookups. The southerly had arrived by the time I was about a kl upstream but we were a little protected due to ...

Re: Foster in March

Thanks Roberta for the suggestions of places we can stay. After having a closer look & talking to the operators of most of the suggestions it has been decided that we will be staying with our original idea, Lani's & camping on Tony's Point Island. :glad: This is the only place that offers us the fle...

Re: Foster in March

Pete - Lani's is a pain in the arse. They want to charge me $20+ a day (probably more now!) to just drive thru to your camp area, even tho there are no facilities. I am unlikely to be making the trek up from Paradise Marina each day - I am not as fit as I used to be :?: So unless someone wants to d...

Re: Foster in March

G'Day Bob,Probably not, thinking so we can all get together in a more congenial manner we are thinking of camping on the Island @ Lani's. We can be in a group & not worry others & will be able to set up a camp more like we do @ Lake St Clair. There are basic facilities on the Island but we wi...
