Re: Googong Southern End- 2 July 2017

The plus side is we will still be able to fish it, just need to walk from the locked gates. Adds an extra 2.5km roughly round trip. Worth it in my opinion. Good luck this weekend!

Re: Googong Southern End- 2 July 2017

Went fishing at the southern end of Googong yesterday. Beautiful day with only a bit of wind around. Got off to a cracking start with a big yella that put up a good fight. Landed another half dozen reddies of varying sizes. On the way out the ranger advised us that the gate to the southern end will...

Nice fish mate, that is horrible news about the gates closing. I have only just started fishing that end and yes, it's much nicer! I would love to know why they are closing the gates!!

Hey guys, if anyone is interested in a Jervis Bay trip this weekend jump over to Rod n Paddle on Facebook for details. Plenty of fishing to be had and can even test out some new kayaks from Jervis Bay Kayaks. Cheers

Canberra people please help

Hi everyone, I was heading up the molonglo river a couple of months ago and when I got to the monaro highway overpass there was a sign saying no kayaks past this point. I am wanting to fish that section up behind fyshwick. Any ideas as to why it's closed? Because of the water skiers perhaps? Cheers

Narooma reef help

Hi all, hoping to head to Narooma for the weekend. Anyone from that area able to point me in the right direction to a reef that isn't too far out and an easy launch point. Looking at Google maps and was thinking Mystery bay?? Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

Cheers Scott

Hey mate, have a look at the one I made. Caster wheels under it so you are able to move it around. 50mm PVC under the kayak to support it.
