Re: Very Very Very Memorable Easter/Anzac Trip

I agree, that's a very memorable trip. Now to land a metre cod from the yak. 🤣 No doubt it was a huge thrill seeing that beast surface and land it. I'm sure it'll stick with you a long time!! Oh yeah, the Yellas were 'ok', too. 😁

Cherry Bass with rocketV and mouse at Forgan Cove, North Pine Dam

Back in January I did a trip with rocketV and mouse at North Pine Dam in search of my first Bass. The report is available here: https://www.kfdu.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=51946#p423838 In short, Rocket smashed it and landed some horse Bass. I landed their breakfast, but it was a great time t...

Boyne Tannum Hookup - May 3-5, 2019

G'day Folks, I have belatedly decided to enter this year's hookup and have booked accommodation at Benaraby. If anyone would also like to belatedly enter and make the trip up, I have space in my accommodation and am happy to share. I haven't fished the competition before, so will be interested to se...

Re: Storm Barra Easter Bonus

Sounds like a great weekend mate. How did the barra taste being out of the woolwash? A reasonable weekend for being on call with no family for Easter, I guess. Barra was perfectly fine. I don't see why people have issues with freshwater Barra. They obviously can't cook or are full of themselves. In...

tried that didn't work something about being dumped over 3 sandbanks and the rips inbetween made me relies I need to get back to basics. don't want to over state the situation but it was bad enough for people to come over and see if I was alright once I got spat out of the water on the beach with m...

Storm Barra Easter Bonus

Video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_2B669QMro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_2B669QMro This Easter I was on call and spent a lot of time hoping the phone wouldn't ring! With my family away in Brisbane I was on my lonesome and appreciated the quiet time, allowing me to get a little video e...

Re: Yellowbarry? Or Golden Barra??

Nice write up Adds. That golden Barra is magnificent, a great catch. Have a great Easter mate. Cheers BobbyB. Cheers Bobby! It really was an incredible colour, then the second one being so silver in comparison in the same water. The close up on the video I whacked in the original post shows the gol...

Yellowbarry? Or Golden Barra?? [with video]

Here's the video for anyone wanting something to watch over a cuppa or a beer. The first minute has the highlights for those with a short attention span  Check out the colours of the fish in the close up! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0Jlt-1DvNc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0Jlt-1DvNc Thi...

Guess the wind got invited to the festival 😁🌬.
I won’t be going out until maybe mid morning as going to dawn service at Emu Park.
Will see how I go, hopefully come down for a bit. Emu Park service is supposed to be a really good service. A beautiful spot for a sunrise, too!

Re: Hard work pay off - doughnuts and Barra

I'm probably tied up Anzac Day morning at least with march, etc. 24th I may manage, or 25th arvo. See how the wind goes, too. Festival of the wind at Emu Park was on the weekend and it blew its ring off.

Hard work pay off - doughnuts and Barra

This week in fishing was a tough one! I started with a trip with local yakker Nathan to Pumpkin Creek. The tides weren't really what I'd have liked, but I was keen to fish and hadn't fished there for a while. I haven't had any stellar sessions there but have scored a couple of Barra in the past. We ...

Re: More No Work Wednesday fun [w/ video]

I have whacked a video link on the original post. No head camera, so a quick edit to show off a beautiful and silver fresh water Barra.
