Re: Lake Wyaralong fly fishing

Nice work spud... I went out there yesterday and got a few on wooly buggers. I fished around the top bays up past the wall. There wasnt as many cruising around in close as other trips. And the algae is really dirtied the water. Do you notice that they are more abundant in curtain areas on the dam? C...

Re: Fly Rod - What Weight?

Go the 8 weight if your into throwing large wind resistant poppers. But a 6 weight will be better when you need to have better fly presentation for touchy bream. Might need both

Re: Lake Wyaralong fly fishing

Went out the dam the other day and looked around for some carp. Spotted a few and all of them were cruising mid water. I had tied up a couple of woolly buggers size 10 flies in a variety of colours. Tied on a brown rust one and cast to a few fish. Most time the fish inspected the flies but couldn't ...

Re: Lake Wyaralong fly fishing

Cheers guys
Think I will give it a look soon. I like the idea of shore based Polaroiding them. I use to live in tassie and all we did was Polaroiding the shallows in the western lakes for trout. So will grab some of my trout woolly buggers and nymphs and give it a crack soon.

Re: Hinze dam Saratoga gopro edit...

Was up at Hinze the other day trying for some bass on surface early in the morning (nothing was inducing a strike) but when paddling across to another bay right out in the open water in the middle of the lake something rather large rises near me. I didn't get a proper look at it. Would this have bee...
