Re: Shark got away

Flattyakker: I think the op went well. All tendons & nerves repaired. Healing going well. And have had a new fibre cast put on. Still have to wait for a few weeks for the cast to be removed for rehab. I have got movement & blood circulation in all toes. So far so good. Pommy Nigel: Thanks mat...

Re: Shark got away

Thanks guys. The safety reasons for us kayakers can be similar as a surfers when it comes to dangling our legs overboard. I was just sitting there nice & quiet whilst waiting for a wave when the shark hit. These types of sharks, especially the bull shark can go into our estuaries where we would be m...

Shark got away

Went out the entrance of Lake Illawarra & sat about 150 metres off Windang beach when I got a huge bite from a shark. But it got off. I think it was a Bull Shark. :egrin: :grr:

Re: education of new imergrants to fishing rules.

Hi Beardypaul. That launch spot is exactly the area that I started fishing when I was a kid in the early 70s. It was only a 10 minute walk from my parents place. It had more bush along the foreshore then so if you drove by on the roadway you wouldn't normally see anyone fishing there. They removed t...

Gee it's been nearly a full year since my last report. Was too busy with my surfing challenges before I get too old. Already feeling the aches & pains as I near my 60 year old birthday. Hoping to continue with my fishing passion after I give my surfing away. Anyway. Had some annual leave & fin...

Re: A great few hours "Up the Creek"

Nice session Bill. :ll: At first a little surprised at the size & green colour of the fly & thought it would attract a blackfish. But then remembered seeing King prawns on submerged sandbars that I had accidently stepped on & saw they had a green colour also. I know that its a great colour for flath...

Re: Surface whiting & a plastic flathead

Thanks Clutch. Yeah. I do the same. I was so happy that I had no pain once in the kayak. So it was all systems gooo! But each morning after getting out of bed, my left lower back just above the hip would give that immediate pull with pain :grr: Then slowly subside through the day. All g...

Just can't help myself.  Look up SUP foil surfing. That's my challege at the moment. Lol. Lot of fun. Thinking someone sho...
