Re: Lumix Camera Remote

I know there are quite a few Lumix models.
I have a FT10 and it has no capability to use a remote control.
If you have a different model, I hope yours does.

Re: lure retriever

I use a gadget called a Snahu. It is a lead weight with a couple of light chains hanging off the back. It slides down your line and if the weight doesn't knock the lure free, you can jiggle it until the chains catch on the hooks. Very effective. Another good type is a Strike Back Retriever. These ar...

Re: Jervis Bay Flick

I've noticed the fish are in close down my end of the bay as well and quite often see thumper whiting and bream only a couple of metres off the beach.
Good tip about the surface lures. I've often thought about it but never got around to trying it.
Thanks for sharing.

Re: Jervis Bay Flick

Nice little flatty mate.
I find blades will out fish plastics most times on JB's beaches.
Expect some good bream and salmon too.

Re: Basin 7/9/13 - Flatties and Fog

I would like to see NSW change their policy so all duskys over 70cm go back.
Everyone has a camera in their phone these days, so there's no reason to keep one.

Re: Cheap braid in Kmart

Even if it turned out to be rubbish, it would make good backing.

Re: G'day from Jervis Bay

G'day mate and welcome. I live in the same neck of the woods, beautiful part of the world. I've only just finally sold my big toy and now in the process of down sizing to a yak again. Hope to see ya out on the water some time soon. I just need to pick what yak I want  Cheers, Matt. Certainly ...

Re: G'day from Jervis Bay

Thanks for the welcome.
I normally launch down in the SE corner of the Basin but plan getting over Island Point in the future.
I've done quite well in that area before.
If I see you I'll be sure to say g'day.

Re: LURE CLIPS

For bream and flathead I've tried a lot of clips and for quite a while settled on the Decoy round snaps. These were good and strong but quite fiddly to open and close, especially in the smallest size. Late last year a mate put me onto Owner P-20's and these things are great. Not only are they light ...

Re: SHOALHAHEN HEADS ACCESS

I don't know if this is any help to you but I used to live nearby, years back when the river was open all the time.
It was definitely not a place you would attempt to get out in a yak in all but the flattest seas.
I remember it because it was a great place to surf.

G'day from Jervis Bay

Hi Guys, just registered on the site today and looking forward to contributing and gaining some info. I live on the shores of Jervis Bay but spend most of my time fishing St Georges Basin, mainly targeting bream and flathead on lures. Although I own a quintrex hornet, I love getting out in my dagger...
