picked up a cobra expedition paddle & seat off gumtree for $400 all good will use this in the (sydney harbour) BRIDGE to (manly)BEACH race on 25th of this month took it out this morning not for a serious paddle but a play turtle re mount etc get to know its capabilities put the hammer down hit 10.6K/hr thats faster than I have clocked on glass boats though a bit more effort required to maintain pace intend this to be my paddle craft though may sneak 1 rod holder on it :egrin: .

That is a great top speed in a plastic boat - assuming you didn't get an assist from some swell

What are the basic specs (length and max width) for that thing?

today it was flat + no wind on Lane Cove River re specs 59cm wide 5.48m long 23kgs plenty of storage recon it will work for a couple of days trip with a swag (overnight near watering hole) really fancy that idea.1st yak I've owned with a manual Venturi valve open it water seeps in till you reach about 6Khr when it starts working .Defiantly designed for long straight lines even with rudder very hard to manoeuvre around moored boats etc.

thats a good Question mate took me a while to find a plausible answer that the internal "barometric altimeter" located in the hole (next to my fingernail) inside the back cover above battery,s may have been impaired due to ? build up of salt/dirt &/or may just need re-calibrating  mr google has his uses

Thats a skinny bit of plastic, no wonder it skips along. be interesting to see what type of sustainable top cruising speed you can achieve.
