New Hobie PA 12/14 and drive at ICAST

#1 Post by XDCammer » Sun Jul 14, 2019 11:33 am

$4700 US for the 14.
By the time it gets over here it will probably $6700 or so.
A very cool piece of engineering though.

wow kayaks are getting pretty advanced now, I remember being happy getting around hands free. but have been pulled into some precarious positions while fighting fish near structure. this has got me a lot more excited then when the 180drive came out.

That’s snazzy , but let’s be honest it looks like a hassle compared to propeller pedal versions where you simply reverse your pedal direction and achieve the same thing

Sorry dude, Mirage drive can traverse shallower water in any direction. Some of those prop drives are very noisy, so not good for the specific fishos. The Mirage drive is much more quiet. The new 360 drive will also lift it's fins to stop damage to the fin masts if it hits a snag or two, props won't do that.

It's ok Rory222 I think they're only in the PAs at the moment.
