Just want to complement the mods on whatever approach they take on the day coz there are plenty of forums I don't feel comfortable to post on.
Less aggro makes more room for all the generosity of spirit that gets posted to help people like me improve their fishing and very much appreciated for what it is.(got a flattie and two tailor trolling a chubby deep diver in the harbour today)
Plenty of other sites to get angry on.
thanks for the site

Just want to know what is considered a "controversial" topic? :?:
Surely opinion is something you encourage as long as it isn't intended to offend or provoke? :gu:
Just asking as I have seen some posts well within the realms of "decency" be pulled lately and I'm not sure why?
After all isn't a forum for discussion? No disrespect intended, just confused and I don't wish to do the wrong thing.

Anything may be considered "controversial" dependent upon the reader. What you or I may think is quite harmless may in fact offend some others. Here is part of an extract that can be found in our announcements section.
The KFDU Team wrote:Threads that have the potential to offend will also be deleted or amended at the discretion of any Moderator.
Any member of the Admin Team reserves the right to remove or amend such comments from posts, or delete threads totally, repeat offenders will be removed from this forum.

Yes it certainly is, but may still be deleted or altered if the writer unintentionally offends.

I unintentionally offended somebody yesterday :gu: apologised and moved on. At the time I thought my comments were quite fine, but I was wrong.

With so many different personalities on a site with over 11k members, I think we are ok most of the time.

Thanks Al,
Thats what I was looking for.... The potential to offend was something I hadn't thought of ( I think most people probably don't at some stage)
Thanks Mods  ,

Seems I go away for a couple of weeks and some interesting threads appear, and now I have some homework to do over the next day or so to catch up on the latest events.

I also see that there are numerous PMs and emails to wade through so please have patience until I can get to them. I'm still pretty tired from dealing with recalcitrant children so won't have any tolerance for garbage.

Brad, well done.

I thought you were doing a top job modding these latest "interesting" topics Al. But alas you were just absent, which is cool. Maybe you should go away more often mate.
Cheers Paul
Kayak fishing isn't a sport. It's much more serious than that.
