stolen kayaks

#1 Post by paperboy » Thu Nov 03, 2016 1:01 pm

Hi guys, I havent been on here for a while but Im after some help from the kfdu network.
Ive had my two 4.1 OK prowlers stolen ,both in camo.Ones an elite the other an ultra ,ultra has rudder system ,has a white starport for rod holder ,bungy cords and a hummingbird sounder bracket(bit broen) on hatch.tranducer is in place held with a lowrance through hull set up ,has battery box with wires through to hatch.
Elite pretty standard ,no rudder ,hasnt got its screw on hatch with it,and has a little box stuck on font section where youd expect to see a sounder ,as it used to house wires.
Both well used neither has its seat or paddle would appreciate youse keeping an eye out ,should anybody come across them please fell free to drown the the thieving bastards for me.
Cheers and thanks Pat

Bastards!

You got any serial numbers of the kayaks from receipts etc which may help to ID them?

That really sucks! How on earth did they get both of them?? Do you know if they have serial numbers? If bought new, the SN may be on the Invoice?

I hope you get them back! Sadly, you need to review your security arrangements for your yaks if/when you get them back! Are you covered by your household insurance?

THis might be the elite:

Both of them?

What area were they stolen from Paperboy?

I'm currently on an extended trip down the NSW coast and will be spending a bit of time fishing between Coffs and Newcastle. If you have some pics, I can keep a lookout for them.

Hey thanks guys,
Unfortunately have always taken having gear laying around for granted. They were stolen from my yard in Old Bar (mid north coast NSW).
Hey Jamie has been a while Ive gotten back in to surfing via standup paddling so the
fishing taken a bit of a back seat but still get out when conditions suit , still skulk around this site to keep up to date and keep an eye on you offshore guys. You just reminded me I posted photos of my ultra on here when I got her Ill see if I can find em.
Cheers n thanks again guys

I will copy the image to my phone just in case I spot anything that looks the same.

With so many vehicles getting around with yaks on the roofs these days, it will probably be one helluva job to find them.

wow.. so some guy accidentally ended up buying stolen goods and joined this forum?

I hate the idea of buying stolen goods because I guess you lose your money? How did this get resolved?

er me neither! you're paperboy. this is why i'm not a detective.. I'd arrest the victim.

I think I thought someone had linked to someone selling what looked like your yak.. but that person was you.
