ANOTHER near miss with a yakker being run down by boat!

Postby arpie » Sun Oct 01, 2017 10:22 pm

Check this out .... a yak fisher in USA, minding his own business, fishing, with a big Orange Safety Flag - and apparently a 'float' as well, to indicate his presence ..... and an idiot Bass Boater drives straight IN TO him!! :beye: :grr:

AND it took him a while to untangle his outboard from the yak before taking off ...... I didn't hear any APOLOGY!!

INCREDIBLE!

Funny you should say that - the previous video I'd watched had a yakker catch a big Red Fish ..... and after he'd given it to a fisho on shore who'd caught nothing - as he paddled out again - he was shot at twice from one of the nearby houses!! :beye: :beye:

RIDICULOUS!!

That was a bit closer than mine, but with a little less speed. I love how he's obviously irritated but keeps his cool! :?:

It's actually an older video(2012ish), but yes boaters there are no better than the ones here. Always worries me. Had a close call this morning myself in Merimbula. A guy let his young daughter drive the hire boat they had around and made a big loop and cut right in front of me, literally a few meters in front of me. It was a good thing I slowed down as I had a feeling it was going to play out that way and the guy just looked at me like I was in their way.
