Seagrass Outback

Postby l2andom » Mon Nov 27, 2017 1:26 pm

Had this a couple of weeks now and did a write up but didn't have pics so didn't post. I previously owned a Revolution13 for a few years with the old seat and still have an Adventure Island. Got rid of the revo because I wanted the newer seat and figured I'd get a yak that was a touch wider so I could stand and fish, and I have no problems with that in the outback. Still use the AI as it's much faster when I want the speed but the outback has been great. I was torn between this and the compass but minor things led me to buying the outback (seat adjusting and securing, reverse drive, and a few others). Kept the mods simple as I didn't want to go crazy with it because in the past the mods haven't always ended up very useful. Larger rudder, transplanted the Elite5Ti from my other yak (thresher140), 2xRailblaza HD starports with rod tubes, square hatch, and a no drill anchor trolley set up. Everything else is pretty much standard for the outback. I put the starports where they are so I could change them from vertical to trolling to bait fishing and still have it close by. To some it may feel a bit close to your shoulder/elbows but it fits just right for me. I'll probably get rid of some of the bungee cord in the rear well as I don't really use it and the only thing I place back there is my anchor, I keep my fish in the front hatch if I keep fish and everything else goes in the square hatch. I don't carry much.
