Try this , you wont be disappointed .Catch some yakkas (yellowtail) bigger the better fillet ,skin, & bone out .yes its a bit fiddley but its worth it trust me.next mix up some soy sauce ,coconut vinigar,lemon juice, slice up some onion rings, capsicum, cucumber & a chilli, place in a dish in the fridge leave for a few hours or overnight. try to cover the whole lot with the marinade what happens is the fish is cooked by the marinade & takes on a beautiful firm unbelievable taste sensation serve with boiled rice add the juice of the marinade to the rice if you wish BLISSSSSSSSSSSS. Iam not fishing for snaps anymore or having a Mack attack Iam having a yack attack 'belisimo" Getayak :fg:

Ha Ha! Getayak. Well done! I was waiting for you to say "Then cook on a high heat!" But raw! :re: You gotta be kidding! :re: I am not one for raw fish butI must admit I liked some raw smoked salmon in the past but also did not like it. Must be who & how it is prepared. I will go as far as eating a witchity grub but will stop at a Cockroach! :snic:
I will have to give it a go. Sounds good! :ha:

This sounds pretty good I think it would work well for Aust Salmon and silver trevs as well

I just started a batch of pickled yakka yesterday - same recipe as my pickled Salmon


mitght have give your yakka bliss a go there are plenty of yakkas around down here atm
