Garlic Chilli Squid

heres a recipe i made up the other night, it's especially good for those larger squid that can be a bit tasteless.

INGREDIENTS.. based on a serving for 2

3 squid tubes
1 teaspoon curry powder
half teaspoon of onion powder
2 garlic cloves
half cup of cornflour
small red chilli (hot)
small green chilli (mild)
rice bran oil and butter

STEP 1 make a salad, i used these ingredients and they worked well
shredded lettuce
beetroot
tomato
finly sliced salad onion
shaved tasty cheese
watermelon balls
brocolli alfalfa

STEP 2 in a bowl combine flour, curry, onion powder,salt pepper. score squid and cut into large pieces and then toss in the bowl.

STEP 3 finely chop garlic and chilli (deeseed chilli)

STEP 4 heat oil and butter in pan add garlic and chilli and cook for 1 minute on med heat then add squid scored side down cook for desired time around 2 mins then drain on paper towel.

STEP 5 plate up and EAT

it sounds like a hot dish but it isn't if you deeseed the chilli.

WARNING if drinking a few ales before dinner go to the toilet before deeseeding chilli not straight after :bb: i can laugh about it now but it was 45 minutes of this :ts: :ts: :ts: :ts: :ts: :ts: :ts:

Sounds like a nice recipe Wes, just need to catch some squid now.
