Ideal cheap Yak for the wife?!

#1 Post by Macca78 » Thu Dec 31, 2015 1:28 pm

Ive posted in the wanted forum too so hope this is ok to post here too...Im looking for a yak for the wife (i dont think she will use it much so as cheap as possible!!) Has anyone heard of Ocean Vu Kayaks? I can get one for about 260 with paddle which seems a bargain?

my biggest concern is it needs to hold a bit of weight and tracks well

Thanks in advance for any replies :)

see reply other thread. capacity about 120kg, Nothing this length (2.7m) is going to track that well.

Capacity is related to enclosed hull volume, so short yaks will always be limited. This would be typical of anything you can get around that price. At least you wont loose if you have to resell it.

Hey Macca,

You can expect better value if you buy second hand & you can normally find something that is a bit closer to what you really want, perhaps from well known/established brand too.

Good luck with it.
Regards, Adam.
