Best "Bang for Buck" Kayaks

#1 Post by Gnome » Tue Oct 31, 2017 1:29 pm

Hi All,

With the market ever growing with all the new (and old) brands, makes and sizes out there I thought it would be good to create a string of best buys that could be updated over time to help out all the new kayak anglers like myself.

The rules for the list are as follows:
  • The kayak must be stock standard
  • The kayak can be listed with an upgrade pack but you must list the pack with the total cost which has to fit under the category price
  • The price of the kayak must be RRP and not a sale price for a shop
  • The kayak must contain 1 rod holder (to make it a fishing kayak :P)
  • The kayak can be a major brand or a small player
  • Try to limit each category to one choice

LET'S DO THIS!

The Categories Are:
  • Best Budget Fishing Kayak (less than $700)
  • Best Mid-Range Fishing Kayak (between $700 and $2000)
  • Best High-End Fishing Kayak (between $2000 and $3500)
  • Best "Money is no object" Fishing Kayak (Above $3500)

    Further Category Breakdown:

  • Best Overall Estuary / River Fishing Kayak
  • Best Overall Ocean Fishing Kayak
  • Best All-Round Fishing Kayak
  • Best Pedal Powered Fishing Kayak

I am sure there is a lot of opinion around this so it will be interesting to see the arguments made

Maybe this can be a pinnable topic to help all the other users on this board as well??
