PB Spanno from the 'Coffs Northern Beaches'!

#1 Post by murd » Thu Jan 25, 2018 4:59 pm

After missing a monster fish yesterday that pulled the hooks near my regular paddle route (and trolling up a small black-tip whaler shark), managed to secure this lady on a Rapala hardbody about a minute before I was readying to store the rod. Towed me around a fair way before she came up totally exhausted for an easy gaff shot. She went 124cm long and weighed 13.65kg (cleaned and gutted) so estimating a 14.5kg fish, and a PB for me - Many neighbours have been fed.

Fishing seems to be on the improve here with tuna schools busting up here and there and a good crew of mutton birds spotting the pelagics for me. Water is toasty warm and ripe for more action - see yas out there!

Nicely done mate!
PBs
I caught a cobia which could eat the rest except for the mackerel which could also probably eat a lot of the things

50/50 possibility there may be one later this year and if so, will probably be taking the little Suzuki again.
