Bass Point, Shellharbour

Folks, does anyone know if there are any fishing restrictions around the gravel loader at Bass Point? Given all the scuba divers under the loader, figured may have real prospect of trolling one up behind the kayak.

I think the only no fishing area round there is inside bushrangers bay at the front of the headland. https://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fishing/mari ... ic-reserve

Use your common sense though, if you see floats with divers flags or see bubbles streaming up fish somewhere else.

I have never had a problem there. That said I usually have moved off the loader before the divers get out of bed. I have had them surface right in front of me a bit further to the east on what is the sponge gardens/gutter.
No restriction other than bushrangers bay that I know of.

I've fished there a couple of times without incident. Great spot. Have picked up slimies, bonito, a juvenile Samson fish and dropped/been busted off by a couple of decent kings, though water might be a bit cool for them at the moment. Just watch the surge at the ramp getting in and out. But it is definitely manageable.
