Tim The Bream comp.

#1 Post by Dinger » Sun Jul 03, 2016 9:39 am

Yamba Rotary is holding a Tim The Bream Comp. on 20 & 21 Aug. with a $10,000.00 prize,go to their facebook page for details & to enter.Apparently this comp was quite big some years ago & with the Clarence River being very accessible to Yaks from a lot of launch sites should be popular.

Thanks for putting that up, Dinger - I remember seeing a video about the original 'Tim The Bream' comp

FOUND IT!! It was HUGE back in it's day - a bit sad to see the quantities of fish taken (and the conditions some of them were fishing, too!! :beye: )

Enjoy!!

cheers

Well done on doing it!! Just as well it isn't this weekend, it is freezing!!

Cheers

As I went bush for camp oven cooking festival I can only go on what info Ive got since getting back but pretty sure there wasnt a yak specific section & around 400 fished the comp with quite a lot of fish of various species caught with one notable flathead 900 odd long caught. The fish were all released after being kept in a large holding tank for viewing & was a great few days. Money raised by Rotary will Im sure be put to good use.
