Went looking for bream, found Trevors & flatties

Postby arpie » Mon Sep 18, 2017 9:25 pm

Hi Guys

This outing was about 10 days ago ..... ever since Riles had been hospitalised in late August - I had taken to dropping in on him most days, talking fishing with him & going over my day on the water - he just loved the visits, the hugs & the fishing talk.

Forever on the lookout of an upgrade bream, I hit the Paddock & the fishing was REALLY SLOW! The one thing to do when fishing is slow ... is to target Trevally! :lek:

I've got a few spots that rarely disappoint ..... sadly, they've actually taken over from bream in a lot of the leases in the Paddock! Damiki Saemi did the trick on the Big Eye!

This one looked like a 'tea leaf' Giant Trevally - with the blotchy spots - on a Saemi

Then a little flattie jumped on board ... also on the Saemi - it was 'on fire'! A couple more smaller ones were landed too.

I finally found a breambo - albeit a small one - who took a liking to a GG!~

The fire over at Darawank/Nabiac started off with not much white smoke, then slowly increased in size ...... then the black smoke started up & it looked more daunting! :?:

Another Flattie joined the day on a Saemi - after being busted off on a way bigger model earlier! I was in the racks & had my rack rod drag done up super tight - and hooked the nice flattie that took some blistering runs ... before busting me off! :beye:

And a final breambo to finish the day off - also on a Saemi!

All up, a fun day on the water.

cheers

Nice work Roberta, the Trevs would certainly be good fun on the bream gear.

Thanks for the report.
