Bundaberg - A Barra-tastic morning

#1 Post by SpiritFisha » Mon Dec 17, 2018 10:04 am

At the start of last week the weather forecast wasn't looking too good with predicted strong winds and heavy rainfall in the Bundaberg area due to Ex-TC Owen. As the weekend got closer the forecast started to change and it looked as if fishing may be an option for Saturday morning. Friday night the forecast looked half good and I loaded the kayak at about 9 pm for an early Saturday morning fish on one of the local rivers. When I got there just on first light the weather looked a bit threatening and I knew I was going to get wet but on a kayak, especially mine, a wet bum is part of the fun. Although I wasn't particularly optimistic when launching it turned out to be a beautiful morning, although I did get a bit wet, and was rewarded with quite a few fish including flathead, grunter, fingermark, trevally and a very nice barra.

Fishing, golf & sex. Three things you can enjoy without being good at!

Some great fish there. Envious of the Fingermark! And of course, the Barra. Well done. I don't mind getting wet when fishing. Less competition!
