Hot Bass

#1 Post by silver19 » Tue Jan 07, 2014 8:23 am

Hit the river with Ray early yesterday morning. Had a couple with the cicadas on the surface early and then caught the rest on the jigspin.

Despite the the extreme heat (or maybe because of it) and the approaching storms fishing was hard. Had a lot of Bass escorting the lure back to the Yak but not hitting the lure. Saw quite a few platypus lolling around and the usual turtles.

Finished with 6 Bass for the day and a almighty thirst. It was HOT.

Thanks for a good day Ray.

I had a great day wander up and down the rapid the bass fishing was slow for me, the one and only for the day coming on the third cast of the morning of the surface then all went quite lot bumps from turtles. The System seems to a lot lower then normal but very clean and I lost count of the platypus that I saw on the day. It was great to spend the day with Silver just wish my health issue would come to a head to allow me to continue fishing and travelling for days out .

She has gone to a good home Steven and with all the Barra, Sootys and Bass Ray been catching I've seen some awesome fish pulled over the side.
