Lake Dyer near Gatton Qld

Stopped over at Lake Dyer near Gatton on the way from Toowoomba to Gold Coast on 31st Oct. The water level was only at 7% so no other watercraft except kayaks and canoes ye ha. Had a fish in the arvo and managed a Bass 36cm, Yellowbelly 40cm and a Eel tailed catfish about 49cm also had a few hits and misses, all in all a good relaxing arvo on the water. Went out again the next morning about 0500 for a couple of hours but no fish landed only snagged some line which had a vibe attached and got hammered then bricked by an unstoppable losing a Pontoon 21 crackerjack grrrr!! Went back to the van just in time for the other half getting up so break the packed up and off to the Gold Coast to catch up with the son ‘Plasman’.

I spent a few months there and never expect it can be fished. Well done.

I work 5 minutes from the dam in Laidley, but I've never bothered to fish it haha. Did you catch those on the troll or casting?? Cheers!

Mostly trolling but had a few hits casting, also saw a chap catch a couple of Bass casting vibes.

Cheers
