What bait and rig did you use?? No catch and release this time eh??

I would love to take my Rotty out but I would be out of the Kayak more than in it me thinks.

Nice! Whiting on poppers is great fun.

I've caught one on a hard body that had the line foul the hooks during the cast.
Start to quickly reel it in, and a whiting smashed while it was wobbling across the surface.

Cheers,
PF

lol my shepherd is more fish than dog.... she would swim for hours if we let her. have yet to see if she could make the 4km trip to the island but probably not going to as there is a dog ban on it :grr: when teh river is safe we let her swim against the current for ages. we sit on the bank and she swims in one spot for about an hour. when we go to head home she just lies down in the water and wont move

the worst thing is she gets salt water poisoning from drinking to much... talk about projectile crap.... not pretty

Thanks Sel, nice right up... and bonus for me, the good guys at BCF just put me onto a lure that looks like it came out of the same mold as your jaz zappa... and double bonus, it's in clear with black lines so it should fool mr wiley whiting into having a crack. Well... in about 6 months when it warms up again that is.

In the mean time I'll work on my technique and see if I can snavel a breambo or 2!

Cheers, Steve.

When drifting for whiting or bream I drag three short lengths of chain along the bottom on a cord that stirs up the sand and I cast a couple of meters behind, surprising how the stirred up bottom gets them interested Possibly the same principal as having a deep diver bounce along the sand .
