What are these fish in the wingecarribee

G'day everyone,

the other day i was fishing and i could see some small redfin fingerlings swimming around with a school of these other fish but i don't know what they were. they were about 5-7cm long and had a red line on them.

What shape were they? Could be a type of Galaxid but more information is needed.

They were long and slender like a whiting had a small fin on their back and were hanging out with the minnows and redfin that were the same size as them. I looked on their internet and they look like Australian smelt.

They are smelt I have caught a few before just to inspect and release so i could find out what they were shame the reddies are in amongst them i have seen it too and once they get a bit bigger the reddies will eat them...
Redfin 43cm, Golden Perch Nearly 40cms , Brown Trout 3kg & 63cm (Eucumbene) , Carp 8kg round 90cm , Snapper 54cm+ ,
Bass 42.5cm , Rainbow Trout Round 52cm about 1.5kg, Leatherjacket 33cm, Tailor 75cm+, Australian Salmon 81cm & Flathead: 50cm (Nearly landed a 90cm+ Don't count though!)

Australian grayling?????I remember back years ago they were in the rivulet down here, not seen one in a long time
Barra 104cm,bass 44cm,flathead 55cm,brown trout 50cm,bream =boring,kingfish 60cm,threadfin salmon 90cm(how could i forget)
