currimundi lake fish id

#1 Post by mrpink » Mon Feb 17, 2014 3:52 pm

Hi Guys,

Fished Currimundi Lake on the Sunshine Coast on the weekend and ended getting this little guy. I'm sure I have seen these before but it's been some years and forget the name. Anyone have any ideas?

I'll have a crack.

I think it's a Silver Biddy.

I'd agree its a bit bigger than the ones you see normally,
They also make excellent live baits for jacks

Thanks guys! Great to have a supportive community on hand.

By the looks of it they are not very common this far down the coast

There is plenty of them around North Brisbane. You tend to find them when cast-netting for Mullet and Herring. They're just not quite as big as the models you posted in those photos.
