Ok so not sure if this is the best section sorry if it is in the wrong one, but just a quick question, I whent fishing today on a charter with some mates and I caught a ling fish first oe ive ever caught, whent like 38cm and the ugliest thing ive ever seen thought it was a catfish or something at first, anyway my guide said there actually quite good eating so i took it home cleaned it and the flesh looks un real very white and clean, got plans to eat it tomorrow night but I was wondering if anyone has ever eaten them and do yiu recommend them or what,

Yes yes yes I know paul my bad on that one but it was my brother in laws 30th birthday so I didn't pay for it and no way im going to say no to a free fishing trip lol.

Makes things even worse I have had the stealth for 4 days now and it is still sitting in the same place it was delivered to. Dam busy schedules.

Pink ling is a popular commercial species here, and is good battered, grilled or pan fried.

Thanks spork that's great to know becausei won't lie if I caught it with out someone more experience I would have thrown it straight back it was ugly and I seriously thought it was a catfish lol.
