I have tried using them as strip bait but haven't had much luck. Better off using pike as live/strip baits :wink:

Really good for marlin and pelagics, great strip baits for snapper and cut bait for mowies. Used whole when their smaller big flatties engulf them. Evil, evil buggers. Check out the way they hunt :_:

Interesting fish , they are very aggressive feeders I've had a 14 cm long grinner hook up on a 15cm lure , I couldn't believe it and I've caught them on trolled dead baits longer than the grinner as well

Excellent bait for marlin... hmm, that's very useful, that is what I target everyday from my yak in 2m deep water :lol:
