For anyone interested in fishing Kinchant Dam for Barramundi, here's a podcast episode that came up on my feed today. It may be useful to you.

Hi Ads22.

You may have been better posting this in the "Main" where members seem to look at first. I can't remember the year but a group of KFDU kayakers traveled north to Kinchant Dam and had quite a successful trip. It may have been before you joined KFDU. Back then KFDU was very popular and there will be photos of some very nice fish caught from kayaks somewhere on the forum. I did a search to find the posts but came up blank. I also have never successfully copied a link despite trying it once. Dodge would definitely remember the original post and may be able to provide you with the link.

Regards Bill

I somehow had it in my head that you were planning a trip there. It's not that far north for you to go and there are a couple of other nice dams up that way as well. Great to see all the old posts though. Thanks.
