New Member - Northern Beaches Sydney

Postby Short » Mon Nov 20, 2017 7:56 pm

Hey Guys,

New member from Northern Beaches in Sydney. Keen for some company or to tag along if anyone is heading out wide. Happy enough to fish solo on enclosed waters, bit sketchy going solo out wide. Local spots for me would be putting in off the fisherman's at Long Reef or paddling out through the lake entrance at North Narra (high tide and low swell preferred for that spot!)

If you're keen for a paddle give us a shout!

Cheers,

Sam

Hi Sam

Welcome to KFDU! Lots of info here to help you on your yakking journey!! How long have you been kayaking?

We have quite a few members on the northern beaches, so hopefully someone will jump on & go out with you. VERY wise choice to not go offshore unless with others!! I reckon the Kingies would be 'on' right now tho - along with the Men in Grey Suits!!

If you plan on putting in at Narrabeen Lakes - whack it in the 'Co-ordinated Trips' section - giving the location & date in the subject matter - and with a bit of luck, others will jump on & say they'll join you!

cheers

Plenty of great fish to be caught off Longy, one of my old stomping grounds when I lived in Sydney.

Good luck

Hey Roberta,

I've only been yak fishing for a few months however used to paddle spec skis a fair bit when I was younger.

Would love to put up info for a co-ordinated trip for the lake but it is usually very hard for me to predict! Usually a float on the lake for me is last minute and is reliant on work, wife and kids demands (or lack thereof) all falling in to alignment.

If anyone is going out from Longy (or Pittwater for that matter) let me know!

Cheers,

Sam

Hi Sam

Yeah - that is very much how I work it too .... just look out the door & go if it all looks 'good'!

Whack up a post to that effect on the Co-ordinated Trip section - that you are keen to join anyone heading out to Longy or Pittwater - and I have no doubt that you'll get a PM now & then from someone saying they are going out!

Good luck

Cheers

Roberta

Make sure that Longy & Pittwater are both in the 'subject' :gu:
