The Ultimate LureSaver

RRP $19.95 to $29.95, depending on size.
Price for KFDU members $12 to $22, depending on size.

The Ultimate LureSaver Release System allows you to pull your lures free from even the toughest snags - Instantly! The patented Titanium Release Technology is tournament proven to hold tight when fighting and landing that trophy fish.
LureSavers are lightweight, corrosion-proof and retain their shape time after time! LureSaver will help you catch more by allowing you to fish heavy cover and structure you normally avoid.

The LureSavers come in specific breaking strains with 6 LureSavers per pack in sizes
6lb
8lb
10lb
12lb
15lb
17-20lb
25-30lb

The LureSavers are matched to the breaking strain of the line for instance, if using 15lb (7kg) line you would use 15lb (7kg) LureSavers. They will not open up when fighting a fish due to the fact that drag would be set a 1/3rd the breaking strain of the line i.e. 5lb (2.5kg) the LureSaver will open at 12-13lb (6kg) of pressure ,so when the lure gets snagged, you pull on the line and when 12lb (6kg) of pressure is applied, the LureSaver will open leaving the hook in the snag. The LureSaver will instantly close, returning to its original shape, allowing the lure to be retrieved and simply fitting another treble.

Another feature of the LureSaver is that you don’t need a split ring opener to attach your hooks.

RRP $8.95
Price for KFDU members $6

ChuckleHead squid rigs feature quality 4.5" plastic skirts rigged with tandem 3/0 nickel plated hooks on a 48" / 30lb test leader. Available in 10 killer colourshads.

The ChuckleHeads work well at slow trolling speeds and would be excellent for trolling for Kingfish Salmon Bonito etc.

ChuckleHeads can be used for stationery trolling. With stationery trolling, where’s there’s a current of 2 knots or more, the ChuckleHead used with the Ziplock Booms allowing them to be fished from an anchored boat up stream from a snag or rock bar as well as off bridges and wharves, the depth of the ChuckleHead can be changed at any time, by simply winding the boom up or lowering it down. A skirted lure fished into snags!! Finally a different way of fishing snags in a running current. Feed the ChuckleHead back to the snag in conjunction with a ZipLock Boom, lower the ChuckleHead down into the snag and fish at any depth, you now have a skirted squid lure swimming right at the edge of the snag or possibly in the snag. The same would apply for fishing over rock bars.

ChuckleHeads can be used for trolling for flathead ect. using a ZipLock Boom as a down rigger. With a ChuckleHead attached, feed out the desired length of line, lock this into the end of the Boom, lower the Boom and ChuckleHead to the bottom, then wind in two to three feet of line and start trolling the ChuckleHead at two to three knots.

Cralusso River Float - Revolutionary New Floats

RRP $16.45
Price for KFDU members $12

These are the world's first float that will actually swim across a river under their own power because of their unique design. They are shaped like a wing in cross-section and therefore virtually fly in the current. If they are cast downstream at about 40 degrees, where they land in the current they will stay. But if line is fed out under tension, they'll swim across a river towards the other bank at around a 40 degree angle, but when the floats are wound in, they don't come straight back at the angler, they swim parallel to the opposite bank until they come in line with the angler where they will then come straight back to the angler. This allows the floats to actually be swum in circles. They can also be used to hopscotch along a breakwall. If the line is given plenty of slack, they'll swing in towards the bank like a normal float however when tension is applied to the line, they'll swim away from the bank. Applications for the floats could be swimming a fly around a trout river; floating a live prawn across to a snag where the float can be stopped and held in position.

The floats come in four sizes 6gm 10gm 15gm 20gm. this is the maximum weight that can be suspended under the float in a gentle current, as the current increases in speed eg 2 knot up to 4 knots the weight that can be suspended under the float can be increased by around 60%, with an even faster flow this can be up to 100%. This is due to the fact that the float actually lifts up in the current.

The Cralusso River Float is a fixed float, the line is attached by feeding the line through silicon tubing then these are slid onto the stainless steel arms of the float.

Fool-a-Fish - 8oz
Price for KFDU members $24

Fool-a-Fish Makes Your Lures and Baits
the Brightest Things in the Water

When you use Fool-a-Fish, fish see your bait like a thousand tiny mirrors!

No matter what type of bait, lure or fly you use, you'll want a bottle of Fool-a-Fish in your tackle box.

Fool-a-Fish is based on research that shows fish see and are attracted to light in the ultra-violet spectrum, which is invisible to the human eye. Fool-a-Fish is an odorless, colorless compound that causes your bait or lure to shine with reflected ultraviolet light.

How it Works

Visible light only penetrates clear ocean water to a depth of about 30-40 feet; UVA light travels up to 1/2-mile, penetrating even murky and off-color water.
Lures and baits treated with Fool-a-Fish reflect UVA light in every direction, just like a spinning "Disco Ball".
Fish use UV vision to find locate their prey; they swarm to bait or lures coated with Fool-a-Fish.
