Whats your favorite piece of camping kit?

#1 Post by XDCammer » Sun Sep 29, 2013 11:21 am

I was just wondering what everyones favorite piece of camping kit was. Mine is the Coleman 414 Powerhouse duel fuel stove and I've had it for 7 years. This thing gives out 24,500BTU, you can dam near weld with it. It's easy to take apart and clean, and I can take it into very cold climes where gas won't work.

I normally run it on Shellite, but, you can run it on unleaded too, so I'm never without fuel. Another plus is it is so easy to move around as there is no gas cylinder attached to it. I'm still wondering why Coleman has stopped importing their fuel as it's even better that Shellite, it has a cleaning agent in it and the jets remain cleaner.

Cobb Cooker. does a perfect roast. Only takes a few heat beads or one of their special heat blocks.

Agree with the Cobb Cooker. I took mine to Broughton Island and roasted a chook on the beach!

In the warmer weather my wife comes camping with me.
The rest of the time, I take a hottie.
That and the jetboil are a great combination.
