If your work allows, see you in less than 12 weeks. You'll meet about 30 other kayak fishos, and you'll all get wet!

It's the stuff you'll learn (in case anything ever goes wrong stuff) that makes this so valuable. You will also learn how to prevent it going pear shaped, and tips to reduce injury. Remember lunch is provided, demo kayaks, cheap gear to buy from retailers, etc.

Bump guys and gals.

If you are considering coming along, please register your interest soon, so Instructor numbers and catering can be planned for (remember- the fee for the day's training includes:

kayakone wrote:Heaps to learn, that could save your butt one day.

Free super feed and drinks.

Lots of demo kayaks to try.

Camaraderie and maybe a pre-training fish.

Good spot for kids getting wet, plus bike tracks and a free swimming pool 4 km away at Redcliffe.

What's not to like? :glad:

dennist wrote:Definitely a worth while event.

I attended last years event - froze my nuts off, lost some sunnies - but gained so much more in return.

I highly recommend this Safety day to anyone thinking about it - regardless of experience levels ( those with a lot of experience - this is an opportunity to give back to the community by sharing your knowledge. And those with little experience - its a great way to learn as well as meet new people)

I will be attending this one for sure.

I hope to see a few familiars as well as some new faces...

It did taste great Kym . I sear the skin side first, in just oil, and flip to the flesh side for a minute. Devour the lot, crispy skin and all. Add veges and baked potatoes with sour cream and chopped chives - Yum yum. BTW, Jimbos 'big one' weighed 1.6 kg (3.5 lbs)....a true 'greenback'.

Thanks for registering. You're on the list.

Mulcher it will be about $ 40 for five hours of instruction and training (which may run a bit longer). The cost includes a super lunch and drinks, and demo kayaks will be available from a number of major suppliers. More details soon on that.

If you are coming, please signal your intention as instructor numbers need lots of prior planning....simply post here and you will be added to the list.
