Just started on a Scrambler 11 yak.
For Sydney harbour fishing what would be a good first fish finder sub $350?
thanks everyone.

A few weeks ago i got a garmin 4x plus from bcf for around $200. Its got a 4.3inch screen and gps. I have only used it as a traditional finder so far but it is really easy to read and no trouble with glare.

Mate I've given up on FF,s stick to my trusty etrex 10gps to guide me to certain locations likely to hold fish have always found them a notoriously unreliable toy for a ski electrics & surf don't mix well.

The depth sounder alarm (although annoying at times) i think is great especially with a pedal yak. Have saved my fins a few times from shallow banks.
