Ok chris268 asked about upgrades in outback now has any one upgraded to the new set in a Rev 13. I have a Rev 13 and enjoy it but was thinking of getting a new Yac but can’t decide between Rev 13 or outback I have really enjoyed my Rev 13 and the only complaint is wet bum the new set should fix this. Look forward to seeing some replies. :?:

Seat will certainly fix the wet bum. It also has a good range of adjustments. I find the extra recline available and raising front bar makes following seas much easier. You will also have some storage under the seat if you dont have the front bar at its lowest setting. Now you also have the reverse drive.

Hi Mac,
I went from a 2010 outback with the old seat to a 2015 revo 13 and the new seat.
New seat is fantastic with the ability to change the angle being great for my back.
I find the revo a better offshore performer than the outback
Happy to arrange to meet if you want to have a play in the revo with a new seat.
Cheers Pazz

Thanks for the replies and Pazz the offer to take yours for a spin is great but I have bought the last 2 yaks from Maclane so would most likely take a day and take them both for a spin. After talking to the fellows at Maclane and your replies I am leaning towards the rev as laneeends remind me of extra storage under set and I agree with Pazz the rev is more able to handle rough water. The out back is a great fishing platform but that is not every thing.

I went with the new Revo 16. 4.88M long (longer than my tinny hahahahhaaa). Very nice and fast yak. Good for offshore, dam and estuary but if you want to do any skinny water fishing I wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise i love the extra length which = extra speed. The new seat is awesome. Like sitting at home in a lounge chair :[]:

Ok was looking at a secondhand yak but had a talk to Maclean Outdoors and got a deal on a 2016 rev 13 with new revers drive so I took it and now just need to find the time to get there to pick it up in the next week or so. :glad: :glad: :glad:
