Mate I had a NAVMAN finder/plotter combo many years ago as well. I needed to purchase maps on a card for it. Is it the same situation for a Lowrance Mark 4 or Elite 4?

Hate to buy one, then have to payout $$$ for maps of my local area.

Cheers!

Yeh mate if you want Navionics you will have to pay full freight for the sd card. I haven't bothered and just use the GPS capability for recording tracks and marking particular spots. Given how expensive it is I probably won't be getting it anytime soon unless I can get it cheaper somehow.
Cheers Paul
Kayak fishing isn't a sport. It's much more serious than that.

I picked up the elite 5 dsi/plotter. just installed it on the AI. I got it for a reasonable price, $530 bucks delivered. Got it from the states, not goe locked and change it to metric as well, world map. Just have to get a good day to start using it

I have been checking out fishfinders for my outback, and the BCF salesman recommended the Lowrance Elite-4X DSI fishfinder. Is anyone using this particular unite and if so are you satisfied with its performance. The other one he recommended was the Garmin 350c. would appreciate any comments on what is best. :?:
