battery question

battery question

Finally getting around to drilling holes & fitting my sounder properly which leads me to the
question can I lay my battery on its side.Its one of those sealed rechargeable from bcf types Im sure most folks have . Just cause I have a beut little box for it if I can.

Gel cells and AGM batteries can be orientated in any position that suits, but you can still use the box. Put a fuse in line near the battery and place it all in the box. You can get adhesive backed velcroe strips from the local $2 shop and use that to secure the box to the hull of the yak. All nice and tidy and waterproof. No mess, no worries.
