I use some adhesive foam from Clark rubber its 2cm wide and 1cm thick stuck to the top of my sounder and use a piece of cord to lower and to pull it back to me to shut it.

If you just bought it, ask Dennis to see if he can do the install for you (if it's a new one). Either way, a purchase you will NEVER regret!!!

I loved mine, and fun surfing waves, there's a rush you'll never tire of!!!

They put an inspection hatch in the side, and it works perfectly. Transducer easy to place, and then easy to get out as well, and it's out of the way.
