April 2018 saltwater trip away

Postby kaos » Fri Aug 04, 2017 11:42 am

As discussed at the last meeting the 2018 saltwater trip will be held at Lake Conjola
the big4 will not guarantee a reserved site so we could be all over the park
I've talked to the new management at water front holiday park (the old island view park) and they seem very willing for us to return .
They will allow controlled contained fires e.g ozpigs and they have a communal fire pit by the camp kitchen

They have penciled in 30 sites for us I've arranged a group booking with individual payments for powered sites at $40 per night x2 people from Monday 23rd April 2018 .
This is in school holidays so please book asap

people wanting cabin will have to book separately

so to book contact Karen Shute
Waterfront holiday park Lake Conjola 0244561165
quote NSWSCKF reservation no.1637

Cheers Pete, Balls and I will be there and will be camping this time. Just got to do a consolidation of leave dates and we're all good. I'll probably go down for the week starting the 23rd.

Thanks mate.

Cool mate, looking forward to both your company. I have been teaching Balls how to use the AI (on Lake Curly Gherkin), and he is a quick learner. I have also purchased another Lowrance VHF so we can communicate off shore, and another bit of kit too. I have always wanted a good head lamp so I bought this one. Should be arriving tomoz hopefully.

I'll be there first so, the welcome beer is on me.

Just make it not so early in the morning this time!

Finally raining here, so good to hear the patter on the roof. My garden will like it too.

Cheers to Leslie and your good self, BobbyB.

Rosco it's a blinder, literally :beye: . I will only use it on low power as it will be too bright for the yak on full, unless, I'm trying to spot something at 120m away. (Why I would do that I don't know).
I can charge it with it's own battery, or use AAA batteries so I like it's versitility. On low power will last 20 hours. It has focusability on the beam and a red light for reading and is rated at 200 Lumens.
It is very lite and has an IPX6 rating (splash proof).
It also comes with 7 years warranty.
I paid about $103 delivered through Zen Imports the Ledlenser and Leatherman distributors.
It works for me.

I'm looking forward to having a beer with you guys again.
(Sorry for any spelling mistakes. I don't have my glasses on. I left them at work.)
I hate getting old! Nearly everything takes twice as long to do.

Cheers mate, BobbyB.

Rosco I couldn't help myself. I was in TJM and I just had to have one of these for the piggy.

Balls rates it!

Have to do a spit roast for you guys up there. I'll do a chook or something.

Conjola contacted me about the sites that they have pencilled in for us and because of the football club staying on the weekend, school holidays and the nonresponse from us they have now made it open so if you're still interested you'll need to act or you could be disappointed
