NICE!!! Good to have it revived!! The oldies will catch as many fish as the new ones - if you dare put them in the water!!

Then these tiny little trout patterns .Rebel again.I used to float them down streams, then work them like they were holding in the current trying to head back upstream . Big browns would break cover to smash them but you had to stay tight to set those little hooks. :?:

Three Running creek lures made by Steve Moody which are new but have an awesome paint job and catch plenty of bass, well worth a look.

I have been putting together some information on the development of game fishing, in particular swordfishing, in Eden, NSW until 1940. The booklet is still being edited but hopefully will be released within the next 6 monhs - Tigers of the Deep

This sensational (& large- see image with measuring tape) 1930s marlin teaser was a gift to our museum (Eden Killer Whale Museum) earlier this year. The donor's father would take hotel guests (and other tourists) out game fishing aboard a vessel known as the 'Straight 8' which was owned by the Hotel Austtralasia's publican, George Impey.

If anyone's interested in a copy of Tigers of the Deep when it comes out - PM me and I'll keep you posted of where its at over the coming months.

Just thought I'd share this sensational bit of game fishing history. Interesting that the shape is similar to some modern day poppers

Cheerio

Did a big clean up of my gear last weekend, wanted to get an idea of my 'inventory' and here is what resulted..

I have an addiction to Japanese lures.

Picking up more lures this afternoon and have some more in the mail...it never ends.

That bottom red colour would be the bomb where i fish.

Do you hand them over for a paint once they look all beat up or do you give them over new to be custom painted?
