Geez Snow now I'm the one sitting here not knowing what to say :?: That's a really generous offer mate.
I must confess the thought of me leading a group of fellow yakkers to fish makes the mind boggle
Any of the Sydney Club will tell you if I'm around the fish usually take off and hide  Seriously mate I have

now put fishing Coffs Harbour with Snow up there on my "Bucket List" and I think we can count on some of the SKFC
boys to tag along too. Will be in touch to organise a weekend after the 21st October. Thanks again mate :glad:

Geez Snow, I recon if you call a date in Oct / Nov you will get 40 + kayakers from all over the place descending on Coffs with Robbo leading the charge.

I was going to say, none of us should wet a line till Robbo catches his first but then that may be too big an ask

At least you might get to be the mother duck up front though Rob

I have been thinking ? and yes that is always dangerous for me.
You and Mark are champions
BUT MAYBE ??? between us all we can arrange an awareness campaign and perhaps raise some funds in the process for research. I know I can do it in my small town, starting with the local rag. We here are quite vulnerable because of attitude , distance for diagnosis, and distance for treatment. There is awareness for prostate cancer but yours is beyond just the digital exam and that needs to be recognised as well. Most people here just don't want the wait for a specialist and the travel that inevitably comes with getting good or bad news.
Our little town is getting better with other cancers but thats not good enough either.

Ideas anyone ???

Count me in!! My shoulder should be good to go by then!! I HOPE!

Always looking for an excuse to go to MO's, too!

There is a neat campground that across the road from the creek near the Dolphin Pool & ocean beach ..... also with close access to the breakwall/headland & marina & further afield ...... without having to drive every time .......

The creek has been known to produce the odd Jack as well as regular species for those not wanting to go offshore ..... altho it is tidal, there is a channel that goes along quite a way.

cheers

I have mine done frequently being over 40. Not the nasty experience everyone thinks it is getting a colonoscopy and the piece of mind after the inspection is worth it. I have lost too many friends to cancer so keep getting checked lads.

Robbo ... you might just have saved a good neighbour and good friend. Aggressive prostate cancer BUT it hasn't spread , entirely operable by robotics. He will come out healthy, due to an early diagnosis.

My husband last year went through an open prosthectomy with some pretty radical post op problems, not cancer but enough to get people thinking. As a result, the neighbourhood got a dose of " yeah I had better get checked out ...and probably .. soon " I have used your post on many occasions to encourage our friends and neighbours to do something. This neighbour DID and by the looks of things will recover well.

Robbo .... you got one message out LOUD and CLEAR.

THANKYOU

Cheers,
Pam

Hey Pam that is really good to hear. That's what this thread was all about in the beginning.
Not about sympathy for me but about getting thru to others that think "I'll be right mate"
cemetaries are full of people that thought that. I was one too and while it's too late for me
I'm glad your friend will recover and hope others will get checked before its too late.
Glad to help Pam.
