Cant see any reason why I shouldn't be able to make this one.
Looking forward to it. Haven't had a fish since Jan 14.

Will anyone be going to HWS today or Saturday morning? (or able to?) If so, let me know and I'll ring James and order and pay for some gear, and collect it Sunday morning at Cams..

Cheers,
PF

Arriving at Cams to see just4fun rigging up I had a quick chat, then off to rig up and hit the water before day break. Throwing HB Lures into the shallows with no result, caught up with Noel again and he had similar results only catching some small tailor. :grr: :grr: :grr:

I decided to fish in deeper water using a blade with better results catching a mixed bag bream, whiting, flounder, squid and a PB leather jacket all on the blade. PB because I have never caught one on a lure before. :idiot: :idiot: :idiot:

Had to leave early today so I started to head home meeting up with Paul and Glen. Hope you guys ended up with a few. It was good to be back in the saddle.
Cheers

It was touch and go as to whether I was going to be able to make this outing.
Have been without Yak Transportation since Jan 14 when I cooked my "trusty" Courier.

After a few weeks of delays, I took possession of my new vehicle at 5:00pm Friday, and then became a race to get it racked up and ready for Sunday.
This was made a little harder as I had to work Saturday. Anyhow, I got it done and got down to the lake for a nice little session.

From the get go I decided to target Flatties, as I had plenty of success chasing them at this locale previously. Before I could get my pants on I was onto a nice 53cm lizard.
Ended up boating 5 flatties, of which 3 were nice legal fish. All were released to fight another day.

As usual, the blades I was using to target the flatties produced quite the by-catch. A couple of small whiting, a little snapper, tarwhine, and like Crok, I also boated my first ever Leatherjacket.

Was great to be back fishing after a 106 day hiatus, and I plan to make up for it with many trips over the next weeks/months....

Apologies for the pictures, I forgot my camera (among other things), so were taken on my phone.

I arrived early for the mid coast outing with a couple of passing showers wetting the car on my way to Cams Wharf . I had just got the kayak off the car when Croc turned up and then PD turned up after a quick chat with croc I rigged up and headed out just before sunrise with croc heading south and Pd heading North , with both keeping to the shallows I decided to go south but out in slightly deeper water picking up a couple of small tailor pretty quickly. A short while before I caught up with Croc I took this shot

After cathing up to Croc and talking about what we had been doing since we last saw each .Then Sirmoken turned up and I had a chat to him for a while then I decided to head out a bit further and try for squid without any success but I did manage to eventually land a couple of small whiting on blades

and then things went real quiet I could see bait balls with fish around them on the sounder and was vertical jigging through the bait balls but could not get a hit so as the wind went further to the south I called it quits. cheers Justforfun
