ANNUAL WEEKEND OUTING- FORSTER-TUNCURRY MARCH 2018

Postby newknees2 » Sat Nov 04, 2017 4:50 pm

Hello everyone,
After our successful & very enjoyable weekend @ Lake St Clair, it's time to start & get organized for our weekend outing @ Forster/Tuncurry.
It will be held on the weekend of the 17th & 18th of March 2018 staying @ The Big 4 Tuncurry. This holiday park offers direct access to the lake & has a variety of accommodation ranging from powered sites to 2 bed cabins.
Our last weekend @ this venue was very enjoyable & I expect this one will be even better. :glad: :glad: :glad:
I am hoping to talk to the park's management to try & arrange a deal on our accommodation so if you are interested let me know ASAP. This park is very popular due to having direct access to the waterways & the facilities offered so it is essential that we get in early to secure our bookings. Go on their website to check out all the accommodation on offer. I will probably be looking at arriving on the Thursday & leaving on Sunday. :?:
If you could indicate your interest to me either by PM or on this topic by the 25-11-17 so I can talk to the park.
If you need any further info contact myself or PF.
I have been assured by Arpie that the fish will be biting so get moving everyone & let me know ASAP.
Regards,
Knees.

I'll be in it! Got it on the calendar already! :gu:

It is always terrific fun at these socials - and some VERY good fish to be had!! This is where Briana got her 42cm bream & Michelle, her 75cm flattie .... and a heap of my fish come from this general area as well! :lek:

See you there!!

Myself, my wife and 2 kayaks will be in attendance for this one.
Not sure if we will be there Thursday night or Friday... depends on whether my wife can get leave.

Really looking forward to it.

Cheers,

Really enjoyed the Lake St Clair weekend and will be keen to attend this one too. Put me down for one (camping) , will try to book some leave again so can get there Thurs until Sun.
Have done very little salt water kayak fishing so again will be all new to me, great to learn some new stuff.
Marked in calender and looking forward to it.

Hello everyone,
I have just had a quick word with the Big 4 Tuncurry & they have advised that if we are coming as a group with a reasonable numbers they will offer a special rate on our accommodation.
They also advised that the time we require is already being a popular time so please advise me ASAP so I can give them an idea of how many may be attending. They will then advise what they can offer on our bookings.
Please note that each person/couple etc will still have to do their own booking.
Regards,
Knees.
P.S.
As previously advised, this is also the Pirtek Challenge weekend which adds to the area's popularity.

Have applied for annual leave, which should just be a formality.
Planning on arriving Thursday afternoon and leaving on the Monday.

Will book once Knees has negotiated a deal with the park.

This should be a great weekend Midcoasters, so let us know if your keen!

Cheers,
PF
