Ok, a bit behind the 8 ball on this one. Me and Kerrie are keen and was going to ring tomorrow and book a site. Now as for sites, i noticed it says you can have 10 maximum per site ? Must be huge? Me and Kerrie are happy to book a seperate one, but if anyone wants to share a site..just yolla, and we can take it from there. We were thinking of arriving sometime on friday and booking that night also including saturday and sunday night, heading home monday.

Just a couple of questions? The comp fee ? Do you pay before hand or on the day? Is the comp fee compulsory even if you stay on the camp ground that weekend ? And can you fish on the dam if you haven't entered the comp ? Gotta look after the ladies :snic:

Now as for cooking mystery bags using tongs, wearing thongs. i was thinking a piece of 10lb braid with a slipknot might suffice ? :beat: I think i better pack an extra esky with more mothers milk me thinks :snic:
Cheers
Adrian

I was thinking the same about the 10 per site. SO Adrian we can share ours with ya if you like. At the moment we have 2 adults and 2 kids.... but I am never too sure on the kid count that far in front, may have 1 may have 3... But I do have a bid tarp with room for two tents.

Just a few quick questions:
1- Is it only fishing or are there other events?
2- I know nothing about the area so what tupe of camping is available?

Thanks.

Fellas, is there a contact number for bookings? Blackant and I are going and it would appear we need to get cracking with our bookings. We are both pulling campers and will need 2 sites. Yes? Or are sites big?

Guys

I think you will find that the van sites at Logan's Inlet are taken but on the next ridge over from Logans is the Lumley Hill camping ground. It's not a walk back to Logans but a small drive that will take minutes. Lumley hill also has powered sites but the disadvantage of camping here is that you away from the action so to speak as all the marshalling and associated activities for the competition will take place at Logans. But it may have to be an option for those who don't get in quick.

Here's the map for the Lumley Hill camp ground, http://oldsite.seqwater.com.au/files/pd ... mudmap.pdf

This map also shows you the proximity of the two camping areas and the sheer size of the dam, http://oldsite.seqwater.com.au/graphics ... ud_map.bmp

To help those get a rough idea of the camp ground layout at Captain Logan here are some views taken about 3 years ago, the sites quoted are from memory and can get a relation by using the map link Lawrence gave earlier....there will be more water than shown in these pics

Hi Folks,

Firstly, a big thankyou from me personally & from the guys from S&WFSA for supporting this event.

Also thanks to the guys who are helping get the info out there.

I will try to answer any questions & while I appreciate the support of this site, I've got limited time & can ask that any important questions be asked on sweetwater site as there are several fishing & yaking sites who have topics running on this event.

Now, As I also work for BLA during the day, I can arrange for anyone who needs a kayak to borrow a prowler 13 or 4.5. We have a couple of demo's there. Also have other kayaks available & will organise for a stack of them to be there for test drives or to borrow. Can also get a couple of canoes if that's what someone needs.

Feel free to give me a call or email. Will reply as soon as possible.

info@sweetwaterfishing.com.au 0408 725405 (leave a message if I don't answer)

Thanks all,

fitzy..
