got to coohin creek

Postby savage1978 » Sun Oct 05, 2014 4:11 pm

Went to coochin creek and launched from the boat ramp this morning. What a great place. 6.30-640 launch and it felt like I was in a remote place of the world. As I was heading down to coochin creek flicking poppers for my first time. The whiting was going nuts for it. I must say, for flicking poppers for whiting I am hooked it was so much fun. I then changed to soft plastics and tried for a lizard but all I got was bream. By the end of the trip I didnt even get to coohin creek. I spent all the time in the narrows. Maybe next weekend ill have to get up the creek and give it a go.

Did you end up with a few whiting? or just bream. It's definitely is a nice spot generally pretty quiet.

By the end of the trip I end up with 5 whiting and 2 bream. The water was like glass. There was another guy there yak fishing and was catching a lot of bream in the main channel of the narrows. By the time I paddled back to the boat ramp it was so busy down there.

Too easy Darren,

I am heading down there tomorrow to chase some Jacks and Jewies but might do a sunrise session on Monday if the weather looks good but will have to be off the water by a bit after 8 as I start work at Noosa at 10.

Cheers
Greg

Anyone able to guide me where the boat ramp is to launch for Coochin Creek. Just went onto google maps and couldn't locate it.

mate follow Roys Road or you can launch from the bank where the road runs parallel to the passage.
