Next meet up in Brisbane - who is keen?

#1 Post by Magilla Gorilla » Tue Mar 03, 2015 6:39 pm

As you are all busy boys and girls, Proctor suggested we set up a poll to determine the date and location for the next Brisbane meet. All suggestions welcome.

Any suggestions on catering or each to its own?

If we are catering, I will put my hands up to supply the sausages for the BBQ.
Then we will need other volunteers to bring bread, onions and drinks.

Once we know the numbers, we can do the shopping on Friday afternoon.
Cheers

No probs Darren, enjoy your footy.
We should alternate the days from trip to trip allowing those that work or have other commitments on weekends to join us. Maybe retired, semi-retired or shift workers can organise a midweek trip.

"Lake Kurwongbah", Saturday 7th March

Unfortunately M.G has had an unforeseen family matter and can't make it this weekend.

With the poll in favour of Lake Kurwongbah (no changed in 24hrs), I'll make an executive decision and put it to all that wish to attend this Saturday 7th Mar, meeting 5.30-6am (security open the gate) at Mick Hanfling Park Lake Kurwongbah, off Torrens rd Kurwongbah.

Meeting at the kayak ramp or car park to the right (close to the yak wash).
Due to heavy usage of the BBQ facilities and earlish start I'm proposing an early lunch, 10.30-11am but we can decide on the day.

Please indicate if you are attending for catering purposes, I'll supply the snags, bread & onions if someone could supply the drinks or anything else they wish to share.

Apologise for the short notice, hope to see you there...
Cheers,
Kym

Lake Kurwongbah is still going ahead, however with minimal response lunch will be BYO.
Hope to see a few people out there, launching around 6ish.
If you see me on the water (Blue Tarpon) come over and say g'day.
Cheers,
Kym

Howdy MG, 5 of use went for a paddle in the end with ziltch fish landed, 5 crispy cream donuts
K'Bah is difficult/almost impossible to fish at present with weed everywhere after the rain.
Cheers,
Kym

Oh well that is a shame at least the five of you had a paddle. Are you keen to hit out this Sunday at Wellington Point? Looks like there are a number of guys heading out that morning.

Not for me this weekend, staying local with possibly a quick flick at a few wild bass.
Have a great time at Wello, stay safe and hopefully land a few
Cheers,
Kym
