Yeah thanks for organising it was good to meet a few of the crew.

I came across some surface action heading back to the launch. After about 5 mins I could see my leader and a glimmer of colour before another run which busted me off and all I was left with was a straight hook. Disappointed. I paddled around looking for the school again and came across some tailor. Landed a 44cm one with his bigger mate in pursuit.

Finished up with a bream and a decent trevally in the last hour before finishing up.

Looking forward to the next trip :)

launched under overcast skies at sunrise after a brief greet & meet & headed straight for the barges behind scotland island , heard reports of kingfish showing in the area & on arrival it was boats everywhere with over a dozen already in position . Well i soaked baits for hours without a touch until eventually all the boats left without turning a reel. there were dophins in the area so this could have shut it down but im convinced they have been catching there earlier in the week by the charters hanging around.
i decided to make my way back towards the launch trying a troll that went untouched.hit plan b spot with squid strips & started getting attention. bait was being stripped quick so imagine leatherjackets were everywhere. i managed to land a nice 50cm tailer in the deepwater & could see plenty on the sounder but couldnt get past the pickers.the highlight of the session was an undersize pittwater mulloway that took the squid strip .not the most impressive fish but i rate them the highest of the fish i target .a true unicorn fish for pitwater ....

Great to get out on the water after a few weeks break & great to meet a few new faces & catch up with a few others.

cheers
